Appointments
You are required to present your Medicare card to receive Medicare benefits at each appointment
Please be aware that appointments are scheduled 10-15 minutes apart and emergencies are given priority. Check with reception if we appear to be running late
Extended appointment times are available upon request.
Walk ins most welcome.
Online Bookings are now available.
Privacy and Confidentiality
Your privacy record is a confidential document. It is the policy of this practice to maintain complete security of your personal health information at all times, and to ensure that this information is only available to authorized staff members. We abide by the National Privacy Principles. Please ask reception staff for a copy of our privacy policy.
Referrals
Doctors at this practice routinely handle common health problems.
When necessary, they may seek a Specialist opinion.
You can discuss this with your Doctor, including any potential out of pocket expenses.
Results
Results are reviewed by the Doctors and acted upon in a timely manner, with your health in mind.
We will contact you if necessary but it is recommended that an appointment be made to discuss the results.
Interpreter Service
An interpreter can be arranged prior to your appointment.
Please notify reception if you require an interpreter at your consultation.
Telephone
To maintain confidentiality we avoid telephone interruptions to Doctors.
The Nurse may be able to help you or a message can be given to the Doctor and your call returned as soon as possible. Urgent enquiries will be put through.
Telephone consultations are available for eligible patients.
Recall and Reminder System
As our practice is committed to preventive care, we may send you an occasional reminder regarding health services appropriate to your care.
Billing
Lakeside Family Medical Centre is a Mixed Billing Practice.
Please indicate if you need a longer appointment with the doctor for a full check-up, pap smear, insurance medical, counselling, surgical procedures, or Full Skin Examinations.
Fees
We offer bulk billing to pensioners aged over 65 years and children under 16 years of age, Concession card holders, and Veteran’s Affairs card holders.

Out of pocket: $30.40 -
Level B consult: $75.00
Medicare rebate: $42.85
Out of pocket: $32.15 -
Level C consult: $110.00
Medicare rebate: $82.90
Out of pocket: $27.10
